Product Owner

The position

A client has ideas for what to build. You need to determine which ideas address a real business need, what value they could produce, and what should come first.

As a Product Owner at Digineer, you’ll work with client stakeholders to define product direction and translate it into delivery priorities. You’ll lead discovery, examine user needs and business processes, and test assumptions before they become commitments.

Our clients span healthcare providers, health insurance and PBM, health and wellness, and industrial services. An assignment could involve automating a manual process, improving a member experience, or extending a product within an established technology environment.

You’ll earn agreement through clear reasoning and a strong understanding of the client’s business. As the product develops, you’ll use feedback and results to refine decisions and keep the team focused on the problem worth solving.

What you’ll do

• Investigate business value drivers through discovery, stakeholder discussions, analysis, and personas.
• Map current processes and define future state workflows.
• Translate business needs into product requirements and a prioritized backlog.
• Recommend priorities based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
• Explain tradeoffs and build agreement across stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Account for existing systems, constraints, and dependencies when shaping solutions.
• Guide work across the product lifecycle and validate alignment with business objectives.
• Coordinate with delivery teams on goals, milestones, and emerging issues.
• Use feedback and delivery results to refine product decisions.

What you bring

• At least three years of experience as a Product Owner.
• Experience working with Agile processes.
• Strong process mapping and current and future state modeling skills.
• Ability to investigate a business need and explain the value behind a proposed solution.
• Technical understanding sufficient to discuss systems, constraints, and delivery options.
• Experience across the product lifecycle and with waterfall, iterative, and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Ability to quickly understand business context and translate it into actionable requirements.
• Experience influencing client stakeholders and resolving competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet commitments.
• Comfort making decisions when requirements and information are still evolving.

Additional experience we value

• Prior consulting experience.
• CSPO certification.

Pay, Benefits & Time Off

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation is based on relevant skills, experience, degrees, certifications, geographic location, and market considerations. This position is also eligible for performance based and quarterly/annual bonuses.
